Privacy Notice

Winchester Builders is a trading name of Gordon Backhouse, who is responsible for (the “controller” of) the personal information you give us through this website. This notice explains how it is used. If you have any questions, email info@winchesterbuilders.co.uk or call 07759 016403.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we receive your name, email address, phone number, the location or postcode of your project, the type of work and your description, plus any photos you choose to attach.

Why we use it

We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, discuss your project and prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are delivered to our business email. A copy is kept securely in the website’s administration area for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically. Attached photos are emailed to us and are not stored on the website. If your enquiry leads to work, we keep the records needed for that work and for our legal and tax obligations.

Who can see it

Only Winchester Builders, and the companies that host our website and email on our behalf.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It remembers in your browser, for the current visit only, that you have already seen the opening animation.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by contacting us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
